The Class Edit LLC
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how The Class Edit LLC ("The Class Edit," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, stores, and otherwise processes information in connection with The Class Edit mobile application, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Overview
The Class Edit helps fitness instructors create, organize, save, back up, and share class plans.
Your class plans are yours.
Original photos you use within The Class Edit remain stored locally on your device and are not included in your cloud class-plan backup or automatically included when you share a class plan.
If you choose to use Live Reading, a compressed copy of the photograph you select is transmitted to The Class Edit's server so that information can be extracted from the page.
Live Reading sends compressed photos and your instructions to OpenAI for processing. Refine Flow sends the class details needed for suggestions. We disable stored AI responses. OpenAI may retain request and response content in abuse-monitoring records for up to 30 days, or longer for legal or safety reasons. Images flagged for potential child sexual abuse material may be retained for manual review. Removing a page or deleting your account does not immediately erase provider records.
Information extracted from the photograph may become part of your class plan.
If you use an account or cloud backup, your resulting class plan may be backed up to The Class Edit's servers.
The Class Edit is not designed to collect or maintain health records or personal information concerning individual clients or class participants.
2. Information You Provide
Account Information
If you create an account, we may collect information such as:
- your name;
- email address;
- authentication information;
- account settings;
- subscription information; and
- other profile information you choose to provide.
Class-Plan Information
We may process and store information you create through the Service, including:
- class titles;
- class sections;
- movements;
- exercise sequences;
- timing;
- transitions;
- equipment and setup notes;
- teaching and cueing notes;
- templates; and
- other class-planning information.
If cloud backup is available and enabled, class-plan information may be stored on our servers.
Photos and Files
The Service may allow you to take a photograph, select a photograph from your device, or choose a file for use in creating a class plan.
Your original photographs remain stored locally on your device.
Original photographs are not backed up as part of your The Class Edit account.
Original photographs are not automatically included when you share a class plan.
If you choose to use Live Reading, a compressed copy of the selected photograph is transmitted to The Class Edit's server for processing as described below.
Communications
If you contact us, we may collect your contact information and the contents of your communication, including support requests, privacy requests, feedback, or other messages.
Payment Information
If The Class Edit offers paid features or subscriptions, payments may be processed through Apple, Google, or another payment provider.
We may receive transaction information, subscription status, purchase history, or related information from the applicable provider.
When payments are handled directly by a third-party payment provider, we generally do not receive your complete payment-card information.
3. Live Reading
Live Reading allows you to turn information contained in a photograph into editable class-plan information.
When you choose to use Live Reading, the selected photograph is compressed before it leaves your device.
A compressed copy is then securely transmitted to The Class Edit's server for processing and text extraction.
Information extracted from the photograph may be converted into movements, notes, timing, sections, or other class-plan information.
If you use an account or cloud backup, the resulting class-plan information may be stored on The Class Edit's servers.
The original photograph is not included in your cloud class-plan backup.
Live Reading Photo Retention
Live Reading sends compressed photos and your instructions to OpenAI for processing. Refine Flow sends the class details needed for suggestions. We disable stored AI responses. OpenAI may retain request and response content in abuse-monitoring records for up to 30 days, or longer for legal or safety reasons. Images flagged for potential child sexual abuse material may be retained for manual review. Removing a page or deleting your account does not immediately erase provider records.
You may contact the.class.edit.app@gmail.com to request deletion of information we hold, including information associated with Live Reading.
We will verify and address deletion requests for information in our active systems. AI-provider records may remain for the retention periods and exceptions described above.
Certain copies may remain temporarily in backups, security records, or logs where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or routine backup processes.
Live Reading may occasionally interpret text, handwriting, movement names, timing, or other information incorrectly.
You are responsible for reviewing extracted information before relying on it.
4. Cloud Backup
If you create an account or use features that provide cloud backup, we may store your class plans on our servers so that they can be preserved, restored, synchronized, or accessed through the Service.
Cloud-backed-up class-plan information may include:
- class titles;
- class sections;
- movements;
- sequences;
- timing;
- transitions;
- notes;
- equipment information;
- teaching information; and
- other class-planning information.
Original photographs used to create or digitize a class plan are not included in this cloud backup.
5. Sharing
The Class Edit may allow you to share class plans with other people.
When you choose to share a class plan, we may transmit or make available the class-plan information necessary to provide that feature.
Shared information may include movements, sequences, timing, transitions, notes, equipment information, and other information contained in the class plan.
Original photographs used to create or digitize a class plan are not automatically included when the plan is shared.
Recipients may be able to save, copy, screenshot, forward, modify, or otherwise use information after you share it with them.
The Class Edit is not responsible for actions taken by a recipient after you intentionally share information with that recipient.
